Bodywork FAQ’s:
-
I believe it is important to get to know you on a holistic level by taking time to review your intake forms, have an open discussion about your wellness goals, areas of concerns, and understanding what modalities and techniques may be beneficial to you during your session(s).
Having the right bodyworker is important and I want to make sure that I am the right fit for you too.
The rate is a little higher as I do spend more time going through your forms and to create a plan for you going forward.

While both integrative bodywork and massage therapy involve manual manipulation of the body, there are distinct differences between the two:
Approach: Massage therapy typically focuses on specific techniques, such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, or sports massage, to address muscle tension and promote relaxation. Integrative bodywork, on the other hand, takes a more holistic approach, combining multiple techniques, such as massage, craniosacral therapy, and myofascial release, intuitive touch to promote healing, to address the entire body and promote overall well-being.
Focus: Massage therapy often targets specific areas of tension, such as the neck, back, or shoulders. Integrative bodywork, by contrast, considers the body as a whole, addressing the interconnectedness of muscles, bones, and organs to promote balance and harmony.
Techniques: Massage therapy typically involves a range of techniques, including kneading, rolling, and stroking. Integrative bodywork may incorporate additional techniques, such as:
Craniosacral therapy: gentle, non-invasive manipulation of the craniosacral system
Myofascial release: gentle stretching of connective tissue to release tension
Energy work: techniques to balance and align the body's energy
Training and qualifications: Massage therapists typically receive training in specific massage techniques and may hold certifications in those areas. Integrative bodyworkers often receive training in multiple modalities and may hold certifications in those areas as well.
While massage therapy can be beneficial, integrative bodywork offers a more comprehensive and holistic approach to bodywork, addressing the body, mind, and spirit.

Increased energy: Improved energy levels and reduced fatigue

Helps babies integrate reflexes, move more freely, and feel more at ease in their bodies.Promotes bonding and emotional ease
As your baby’s system relaxes, it supports deeper connection, comfort, and a sense of safety between caregiver and child.

Yes, I do accept men as new clients. However, because my practice specializes in services for women and children, I prioritize these populations when scheduling and accepting referrals. I only take on male clients who have an existing connection to my practice—meaning they were referred by a current client such as a spouse, parent, child, or friend. If a referral is not listed on the new client intake form, the application will not be accepted.
